Berlin's bicycle festival goes Open Air: with plenty of spring-like fresh air, VELOBerlin invites both the bicycle industry and cycling fans around Tempelhof Airport on the weekend of May 8-9, 2021. Large and partly covered exhibition areas for bicycle and mobility products of all kinds, huge test tracks as well as a colorful stage and experience & information program offer manufacturers and retailers the ideal presentation of innovations and trends in the relaxed atmosphere of the Berlin metropolis.

Here is a brief overview of the registration procedure:
1. Registration:
Would you like to secure an attractive exhibition space and also benefit from the 5% early bird discount? Then register now for VELOBerlin!
- Early bird discount of 5% until at least November 30 2020 or until the first draft of the floor plan is ready.
- Your registration will be given priority when drafting the first floor plan.
- New for 2021: Your registration will only become a final booking after you have confirmed your booth position in the floor plan. We plan to send you an email including the floor plan by the end of this year.
The following categories are available:
Category A: covered apron: € 79 / sqm
OUTDOOR under the large canopy: you are welcome to install tents, beach flags, trucks etc., please see the technical guidelines for specific requirements. Booth construction height max. 4m.
Category B: free apron: € 60 / sqm
OUTDOOR in the uncovered festival area: you are welcome to install tents, beach flags, trucks etc., please see the technical guidelines for specific requirements. Booth construction height max. 4m.
Category C: VELOArt, Startups, #handmade: 40 € / sqm

Category D: on request
For associations, sports clubs, initiatives, charity - only by arrangement.

In order to ensure the necessary planning security for you and us, we are monitoring the situation very closely and are in close and regular exchange with the responsible authorities. We have summarized the most important questions and answers about the measures against Corona as well as conditions for bookings and cancellations of the event.
The first trade fairs are currently opening their doors again as specialist events. There is still a lot of time until the first VELO event in May 2021, nobody can foresee exactly how the situation will develop by then and which requirements will then apply to events like ours.
It is clear that not everything will be the same in spring 2021 either. Together with the authorities, we are developing the appropriate hygiene concepts because, and this is important: The VELO festivals will take place! They have become an indispensable part of the bicycle world, an important component in the manufacturers' marketing and sales plans and in the calendar of bicycle fans across Germany.
We look forward to a great, safe and healthy festival season 2021 with you!
Measures in the safety and hygiene concept:
This will be developed at the beginning of next year and adapted to current conditions. You will be informed about important measures in time.

1.ii) Admission (new: non-binding registration)
The contract is concluded with the acceptance of the booth space and the legally binding and fully completed booth registration form by the exhibitor.
1.vii) Contract termination (new: extended deadline)
The booth booking can be canceled free of charge until January 31, 2021. If the booth booking is canceled without good cause by March 31, 2021, 50% of the booth rental fee will be due, and 100% from April 1, 2021. [...]
The payment obligation can only be reduced if the organizer can sublet the booth space.
1.viii)Force majeure
If the organizer is forced to shorten, postpone or cancel the event due to force majeure or for other reasons for which he is not responsible, the exhibitor is released from his obligation to pay the booth rental and other costs. The exhibitor receives neither contractual withdrawal nor cancellation rights nor other claim rights, particularly damage compensation rights. If the event has to be postponed or moved to another location on this extraordinary basis, an exhibitor's registration also applies for the new date and the new terms if said exhibitor fails to submit a corresponding written objection to the organiser within two weeks of receiving notification of the new terms.
Finally taking children (bikes) seriously - with this claim we celebrated the premieres of the YoungStars events in Berlin, Hamburg and Frankfurt in 2019 with great success. woom, taXXi, Scandinavian Sidebike, S'cool, Pyro, Mona & Co, Leg & Go, Kubikes, Kania, Islabikes, GIANT, freh kids fashion, Eightshot, CUBE, Croozer and Bungi Bungi joined them and filled the YoungStars Areas with life and their great products .
In 2021, YoungStars will once again cover the entire spectrum: whether it is about transporting the youngest offspring, the first bicycle or mountain bikes and racing bikes that are used to win races. Manufacturers, dealers and other players in the field of children and young people are offered an equally relaxed and focused setting to meet their target family group personally, to talk to them and to present their offers.
We give children, young people and parents the space they deserve. With the opportunity to get specific information & try things out - but not least with opportunities to join in, watch, relax or play.

Special package VELO YoungStars
The special package gives you the opportunity to be present at the VELO events on a YoungStars community area even without your own stand:
all 3 events: → 1,800 € plus VAT (600 € per event)

1 event: → 800 € plus VAT.

We prefer an open booth design - please refrain from side walls and delimitations to the neighboring stands. On the part of the organizer, cables are routed over the floor, which the exhibitors may have to build over.
The approval of the organizer is required when using vehicles of any kind or containers as stand components. The legal and technical guidelines regarding the setting up of vehicles in places of assembly must be observed (see also section 6.6 technical guidelines).
The use of gas-powered vehicles is not permitted at any time (see also Section 6.5 technical guidelines).
The construction height is basically limited to 4.0 m.
Booths, exhibits, advertising, etc. from a construction height of 2.50 m require approval by the organizer. Meaningful, true-to-scale construction plans (model and floor plan with dimensions and building description) must be submitted to the organizer four weeks before the start of construction (8 April 2021, see Sections 5.3, 5.4). The contents of the documents submitted are binding for the exhibitors.
The use of plastic cable ties to attach statically stressed parts is not permitted. Suspensions from the hall roof may only be carried out by the service provider commissioned by the organizer. Please note the enormous wind loads on the entire site, including under the roof. For this reason, the stands must also be sufficiently ballasted (see also Paragraph 5.5.2).
All stand construction materials, with the exception of planed wood> 18mm, must be at least class B1 or B, C-s3 in accordance with DIN 4102 or DIN EN 13501-1 or flame retardant in accordance with product-specific standards. All test certificates on the fire protection classes of the stand construction materials used, their delivery notes and a declaration of conformity from the exhibitor must be sent to the organizer up to two weeks before the event (April 23, 2021) and kept ready in a folder on site.
The use of fuel gas such as propane or butane is not permitted on the premises.
The venue is a historical monument. Interventions in the structure and damage are not permitted. Adhesive tape must be removable without leaving any residue
(see also section 2.8 f. of the technical guidelines).
The use of drones is not permitted (see also section 2.12 of the technical guidelines).
The building's safety equipment must be kept free, from stand sizes of 100 square meters, additional fire extinguishers must be provided (Paragraph 06.03.)
Own public address (music) systems on the stands must be coordinated with the organizer in good time; in general, only suitable electrical devices that have been tested and marked in accordance with VDE regulations and bear the CE mark may be used.
