Technical Guidelines
Open air exhibition:
All stand structures in the outdoor area are to be erected in such a stable manner that public safety and order, in particular life and health, are not endangered.
This includes the following measures:
• Max. load under the membrane roof 3.5 t and on the high-speed ring: 7.5 t
• Exhibition area under the membrane roof: 35 mx 73 m
• Permissible height for stand construction: 3.10 m.
• Exceeding this height is possible on request sandblasted, non-slip surface and a low profile. (see photo).
• No oil, hot liquids, paint, etc. may be used.
• Pipes for ice cooling run under the floor: no nails, pegs, other fasteners, etc. may be hammered in!
• ATTENTION: The exhibitor must ensure that the structure of the floor (both indoor & outdoor) is not damaged. The use of pegs, for example, is not permitted on any of the rented areas, rather the structures must be secured with appropriate weights!
• Tents and other structures must be secured with weights.
• Easily flammable, burning dripping or toxic gases and/or smoke-forming materials such as polystyrene -Hard foam (Styrofoam), PVC or similar and various acrylic glass products may not be used for stand construction. In the event of a fire, the materials used must not contribute to the development of heavy smoke.
• Only flame-retardant materials that are at least class C -s3, d0 or DIN 4102-1 according to DIN EN 13501-1 at least B1 and do not drip while burning may be used as decoration materials.
• Since smaller tent structures (<75m² floor area) are also considered temporary structures, they must also adequately meet the technical and static specifications for temporary structures (M-FlBauR, DIN EN 13782). With a tent height of up to 5 m and a width of < 10 m, wind dynamic pressures of q = 0.30 kN/m² must be reliably verified.
• Warning in the event of severe weather: If significant weather events are to be expected with announced gusts of wind > 13 m/s ( Wind force > 6 Bft.), heavy thunderstorms in connection with gusts of wind, heavy rain or hail, heavy rain > 20 l/m² in one hour, a general severe weather warning is issued to all exhibitors in the outdoor area. According to this, exhibitors with wind load-reduced stand construction systems or temporary constructions are requested immediately to take all measures to shut down operations.
• Measures to shut down operations include: (1) securing the stand construction system, (2) clearing the stand construction system and the event area of visitors and staff, (3) leaving of the exhibition center
Approaches under the membrane roof:
• Front side: 3.50 m wide and 2.90 m high
• Front side: 3.50 m wide and 2.90 m high
• Hall entrance: 3.50 m wide and 2.60 m high.
Exhibition in the small and large ice rink:
• Clear height of the large ice rink: 9 m
• Clear height of the small ice rink: 4 m
• The small hall can be driven over by vehicles up to 7.5 t.
Smoking is prohibited in the entire interior area.
Exhibition of vehicles:
The exhibition of motor vehicles must be registered. This requires the number of vehicles and the vehicle type(s).
Vehicles with internal combustion engines
• The fuel tank must be largely empty and locked.
• It is possible to supply the vehicles on display from the starter battery if it is ensured that no dangerous gases are produced - e.g. with gel batteries, if the contacts are safe to touch and the starter is permanently disconnected from the battery.
• In all other cases, the battery must be disconnected or removed.
Vehicles with alternative drive technology, eg electric or hybrid drives
• The fuel tank must be largely empty and locked.
• The traction motor must be disconnected from the battery, for example using a battery disconnect switch.
• It must be ensured that the high-voltage battery is de-energized or the high-voltage battery must be in a battery-typical non-critical state (charged/discharged).
• The vehicle positions within a Stand areas must be marked on a plan.
• Vehicles with fuel cells or other types of drive are considered separately.
Stand construction:
The rental area is marked by the organizer. Minor dimensional deviations compared to the stand sketch sent must be expected. Each exhibitor is obliged to find out about the location, dimensions and any built-in components such as pillars, electrical connection boxes, etc. on site. The stand boundaries must be strictly observed.
Stand structures that are not approved or do not comply with the technical guidelines or the law may have to be modified or removed. If the work is not carried out on time, the organizer is entitled to make changes himself at the expense of the exhibitor or to block the stand for visitors.
